1. User Registration Terms

By creating an account on the RentBasket mobile app, you agree to comply with the following terms:

1.1 Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement under the laws of India.

• You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information during registration.

• RentBasket reserves the right to reject or suspend accounts for incomplete, false, or misleading information.

1.2 Account Creation & Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and restricting access to your device.

• You agree to immediately notify RentBasket in case of unauthorized use of your account.

• RentBasket is not liable for any loss or damage caused due to unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

1.3 Use of Account

• Your account is for personal use only and cannot be transferred to another person without prior approval.

• You agree to use the app for lawful purposes only, including browsing, placing rental orders, and accessing support.

1.4 Identity & Background Verification

• RentBasket may request KYC (Know Your Customer) verification documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, or Driving License before processing your order.

• RentBasket reserves the right to conduct background verification on customers before finalizing any rental agreement.

• Based on background verification results, RentBasket may decide not to proceed with the order, at its sole discretion, without providing any justification. In such cases, any payment made by the customer will be refunded within 72 hours of the online payment.

1.5 Suspension & Termination

• RentBasket reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activities.

2. Data Privacy & Protection Policy

In compliance with:

• Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

• Principles from the upcoming Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2.1 Data We Collect

When you register or use the RentBasket app, we may collect:

• Personal Information: Name, phone number, email, address, date of birth, ID proofs.

• Usage Data: IP address, device information, app activity logs.

• Payment Data: UPI, card, or bank details (processed via secure third-party payment gateways).

2.2 How We Use Your Data

Your data will be used for:

• Creating and maintaining your account.

• Processing rental orders and deliveries.

• Sending order updates, offers, and notifications.

• Fraud detection, dispute resolution, and customer support.

• Improving app performance and user experience.

2.3 Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your data with:

• Service partners for delivery, maintenance, and payments.

• Law enforcement authorities if required by law.

• Third-party analytics providers for app improvement (no personal identifiers are shared without consent).

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

2.4 Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers within India.

• We follow ISO/IEC 27001-compliant security practices.

• While we take all reasonable precautions, RentBasket is not liable for breaches caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., hacking, force majeure).

2.5 User Rights

As per Indian law, you can:

• Access, correct, or update your personal data.

• Withdraw consent for data processing (which may limit app usage).

• Request deletion of your account and associated data.

2.6 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required by law. After account closure, data is securely deleted except for records required for legal or tax compliance.

2.7 Changes to Policy

We may update these terms and policies from time to time. Changes will be notified via the app or email. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes acceptance.
